Call and Get Scheduled

If you’ve booked dates to go, now’s the time to let us know. Unlike a plane or a big hotel, we can’t book space that isn’t there to sell. Booking early isn’t mandatory, but it helps make sure you get the spots you want for Spot.



Complete the three forms posted below and email them over, or just have them ready on the day of your scheduled meet and greet visit. We keep the process simple!

We'll Come Meet You!

Meet and greets with all new clients and pets are FREE! It’s a time to review the home routine while meeting the pets, checking forms, and answering any questions. Keys and deposits will be collected at the meet and greet.



“Native Washingtonian” accurately described me until 2008, when I moved from city life to country life in West Virginia. Bolivar-Harpers Ferry is where I call home now. Retiring after a 25-year career in clinical research medicine gave me time to pursue my dream of working with animals. Specialized training and studying professional pet care practices, in time, added to my love for animals and my life-long experience as a pet owner.

Professional training, research, and peer group participation are ongoing. Continuous learning and new skills development are as exciting as they are beneficial, because the subject is my passion. Using what I learn to provide safe, reliable, knowledgeable care to happy, furry clients is the ultimate reward.

Mid-Day Dog Relief

Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Relief for your dog and your wallet! Our prepaid, prescheduled monthly package gives you stress-free pet care when you book 12 or more weekday visits per month. Perfect for pet owners who work away from home. Where there are dogs, there shall be relief.

Pet Sitting Home Visits

Need someone to look after your pets? Book exactly what you need, whether it's a single visit or a few check-ins while you're on vacation. A trained sitter comes to your home, keeps your pets on the routine they already know, and sends updates so you can actually relax while you're gone.

$27/ Per visit

Outside normal business hours (7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

She gives some of the best (and funniest) daily updates and picks up on anything out of the norm. Our fur babies are our babies and I wouldn’t trust them with anyone else.

Extremely reliable, consistent and communicative.   With constant updates during and after the visit, you know exactly how your pets are doing. HFT walks, feeds, and loves our dogs as if they were their own.  You even get random photos of the fun they are having. Our two pups (young basset hounds that are a handful) absolutely love Suzi. We highly recommend Harpers Ferry Tails for all your pet walking and sitting needs.

She’s a very skittish and fearful dog.  Suzi made friends with Dolly and gained her trust before ever taking care of her for us.  Suzi’s main priority is the pet’s comfort.  She came to our home for an introductory visit and walks.  When a long time had passed between us needing her, she came back to get reacquainted before we left town for an overnight.  Dolly trusted Suzi and they had a great time together.  I received several text updates and photos.  We just found out that our dog has an illness that is going to require months long treatment.  I’m so grateful that we know Suzi and feel completely comfortable trusting her to follow the medication and activity schedules required.  You cannot do better than Harpers Ferry Tails!
